Garkheda, October 16 – In a unique blend of adventure and civic responsibility, Smita Holidays, in collaboration with the District Voting Awareness Cell, Directorate of Maharashtra Tourism, and Marathwada Tourism Development Association, has launched a hot air balloon initiative to promote voter awareness for the upcoming assembly elections. The activity, held at the Divisional Sports Complex in Garkheda, aims to inspire citizens to fulfill their democratic duty by casting their vote.

From October 16 to 19, citizens can enjoy hot air balloon rides while being reminded of the importance of participating in the electoral process. The rides are scheduled twice daily—7 AM to 10 AM and 4 PM to 7 PM—offering a unique aerial adventure that combines fun with a powerful social message.

Jayant Gore, Chief Managing Director of Smita Holidays, highlighted the significance of this initiative, stating,

"Hot air ballooning is traditionally seen as an adventure sport, but this time, we’re taking it a step further by using it as a platform for voter awareness. The balloon will soar to heights of 200 to 250 feet, carrying a 50-foot banner urging citizens to exercise their right to vote.
