Tuljapur Tulja Bhavani Mandir is a Hindu temple dedicated to the goddess Bhavani. It is considered as one of the 51 Shakti Pithas. It was the mother Goddess of Chattrapati Shivaji Maharaj.
Pithapuram was originally called Pithikapuram. The earliest extant inscription to mention the city is the 4th century king Samudragupta's Allahabad Pillar inscription, which states that he defeated the king Mahendra of Pithikapuram. Pithapuram or Peetika Puram is a town in the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. The temple town is one of fifty five Sakti Peetikas.
