to Visit
Summer (March to June): Ideal for sightseeing, trekking, and outdoor
activities. The weather is pleasant and perfect for exploring.
Monsoon (July to
September): This season brings heavy
rainfall, which can make trekking and outdoor activities difficult. However,
the lush greenery during this time is beautiful.
Winter (October to
February): If you enjoy snowfall,
this is the best time. Temperatures drop, and the hill stations offer a serene,
snowy landscape, perfect for winter photography and snow activities.
Weather
and Clothing
Dharamshala: The weather in Dharamshala can be a bit unpredictable
due to its altitude, so it’s advisable to pack layers. Bring light clothes for
the day (especially in summer) and warmer clothes for the evening.
Dalhousie: Dalhousie can be colder than Dharamshala, especially
at higher altitudes. If you visit in winter, pack heavy woolens and winter
accessories like gloves, scarves, and thermal wear.
Rain Gear: If you’re
traveling during the monsoon season, carry an umbrella or a raincoat and
waterproof footwear.
Connectivity
Internet & Network: Mobile network connectivity in both Dharamshala and
Dalhousie can be patchy, especially in remote areas. If you need constant
connectivity, inform your family or friends before heading out for remote
trekking or excursions.
Wi-Fi: Many hotels in Dharamshala and Dalhousie offer Wi-Fi,
but speeds can vary depending on the location
Arrive at Amritsar airport and proceed to Dalhousie. Evening free for leisure or you can have a walk-through small town of Dalhousie. Overnight at Dalhousie.
Today visit Khajjiar popularly known as “Mini Switzerland” of India, enjoy various sports activities like Zorbing, horse riding etc. at your own. We visit the Ajith Singh Smarak and Satadhara Sparkling Springs. Overnight at Dalhousie. Note: In case of heavy snowfall during winters the road to Khajjiar will be blocked. In such case you can still visit Khajjiar from an alternate route with an extra transport price. Or you can visit nearby sightseeing Chamera lake with no additional price.
Today after breakfast, proceed to Dharamshala – formerly known as Bhagsu one of the spiritual dwellings in Himachal Pradesh. Evening /free time for Relaxation. Overnight at Dharamshala
Today we visit Bhagsunag Temple and Dalai Lama Monastery. Later we visit the Dal Lake – known for its scenic beauty. Enjoy shopping at Macleodganj Bazaar in evening /free time for Relaxation. Overnight at Dharamshala.
Today early morning check-out of your hotel and proceed to Amritsar. Check in and get ready for a visit to Wagah Border. Enjoy the famous Beating Retreat ceremony. After your visit, get transferred back to your hotel. You can also explore the local neighborhood and shop for some souvenirs. Have an overnight stay in Amritsar.
