Rajgad
Fort – The Capital of Swarajya
Rajgad Fort,
located in the Pune district of Maharashtra, was the first capital of the
Maratha Empire under Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. Known for its massive size,
strategic location, and rich history, Rajgad served as the administrative base
of Shivaji Maharaj for over 25 years before the capital shifted to Raigad.
The fort is built
on a hill called Murumbadev Dongar, standing at a height of 4,350 feet above
sea level. It is surrounded by majestic mountain ranges, deep valleys, and
stunning views, making it a paradise for trekkers and history lovers alike.
Rajgad Fort is
divided into three parts: Padmavati Machi (main residential area), Suvela Machi
(watch point), and Sanjeevani Machi (defense line). The Balekilla (citadel) at
the top provides breathtaking panoramic views.

Early Morning Depart from Mumbai / Pune / Chh. Sambhajinagar in the afternoon arrive near Velha village (base for Rajgad Fort). In the evening, stroll around the village and visit the Sheetalai Devi Temple. Overnight stay at Velha.
After breakfast, proceed to Trek Rajgad Fort, exploring key sections: Padmavati Machi, Balekilla, Sanjeevani Machi & Sujai Bastion and many more. Later back to Velha for Overnight stay
After breakfast, check out from Hotel and Visit either Tamhini Ghat or enjoy a brief view of Torna Fort. Dive back towards Mumbai / Pune / Chh. Sambhajinagar.
